How to Build a Widget

To create a new widget make sure you're in the 'Reports' section of the app. Click on the 'Add Widget' icon

This will take you through to the Watching That Widget library where you can choose from a wide list of preexisting widgets or create your own custom Widget. For a custom widget click 'Create new widget'

This takes you through to our widget builder, from here you can begin creating your own unique widgets

To start creating you can click on the 'Add Visualisation' dropdown

This will give you 6 different visual types to choose. Choose the one that best suits what you are trying to view

From there you can choose your desired metrics by clicking the 'Metrics to plot' dropdown and/or dimensions by clicking the 'Breakdown by' dropdown

When you've made your selections, the widget preview should begin to populate in the top window

Once you've finished creating your Widget you can give it a Subtitle and a widget name for the report

When you're happy with your widget you can then click 'Add to report' and this will add the widget to the bottom of your report. From here you can resize and/or drag and drop the widget to wherever you would like it to sit within your report. There is no limit on how many widgets you can add to a report.
