Sending Watching That your Error Data will help to enrich your reports and also give you powerful access to the Troubleshooting Module where you can dig into the root cause of issues that cost you valuable ad impressions and therefore $$MONEY$$.
Troubleshooting Module and error reporting allows you to investigate and quickly determine root cause for issues that are occurring somewhere within your video operations workflow (i.e. ad server, content, player, etc.)
We have a growing list of Errors here as reference.
To our knowledge, there is no additional cost to having errors included within your log files from your various vendors.
Errors allow you to examine really important aspect of your ad delivery such as looking at the breakdown of Ad Slots filling (delivering Impressions) and those not filling (Unfilled inventory). The Unfilled Inventory metric will show you the number of ad slots where an error event occurred but did not deliver an impression.
Unfilled Inventory shows the amount of inventory that hasn’t been monetized. With the errors you can look at a breakdown of each error code, to see where the biggest issues lie. Is the 3rd party not filling potential impressions? Is an ad Request Failing? Is there a rendering issue with the response?
